In September REC Poland signed a grant agreement with the Voivodship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw for cofinancing hydrotechnical buildings on two of the four impact areas of the Kampinoskie Bagna project: Żurawiowe Area and Wilcza Struga Area.
The construction of these 14 hydrotechnical facilities will contribute to:
- Improving the humidity of 3300ha of wetland habitats in the Kampinos National Park.
- Improving the conservation status of Natura 2000 habitats: riparian woodlands, Carpinion betuli,Arrhenatherion, Molinion.
- Improving of the habitat of Natura 2000 species of the following species: black stork, spotted crake, corncrake, great bittern, otter, beaver.
